Manikúra s Mont Bleu / Manicure with Mont Bleu

Úprava nechtov je niečo, čo absolvujem každý týžden minimálne dvakrát. Našťastie, s tými správnymi nástrojmi je to otázka pár minút :)

Dnes mám pre vás recenziu štyroch pomôcok na manikúru od českej značky Mont Bleu. Tá sa zaoberá výrobou sklenených pilníkov a predajom rôznych kozmetických nástrojov iných značiek ako sú pinzety, hrebene a kefy na vlasy, zrkadielka, či dokonca šperky.


Filing the nails and pushing back the cuticles is something I usually go through at least twice every week. Luckily with the right tools it takes only a few minutes :)

So today I have for you a review of four tools for manicure from Czech brand Mont Bleu. They are producers of glass nail files and they also sell various cosmetic tools from other brands like tweezers, combs, hairbrushes, compact mirrors or even jewelry.



Ako som spomenula, vybrala som si štyri nástroje - sklenený pilník, klieštiky na kožičku, sklenenú tyčinku na zatláčenie kožicky a pinzetu. Všetko som zladila do modro-zelenej kombinácie (okrem klieštickov) podľa farebnosti na rukoväti pilníka :)


As I mentioned I chose four tools - glass nail file, nippers for cuticles, glass cuticle pusher and tweezer. I managed to match everything up to this blue-green-yellow combination (except the nippers) of the file's handle :)



Práve ten žlto-zeleno-modrý gradient rozhodol, že Peridot crystal pilník poputuje ku mne domov. Farebná kombinácia mi pripomína pierka ary hyacintovej :)

Sklenené pilníky Mont Bleu sú vyrobené z českého temperovaného skla, vďaka čomu sú pevné a odolnejšie než obyčajné lacné sklenené napodobeniny. Brúsny povrch pilníkov Mont Bleu je jemný a vytvorený leptaním, vďaka čomu pilník vydrží dlho ako nový. Navyše povrch pilníka je naozaj jemný a pilníkovanie tak nie je vôbec nepríjemné. Pilník môžete tiež po použití jednoducho umyť alebo vydezinfikovať.


And it was that yellow-green-blue gradient that decided that this Peridot crystal file will be mine. That color combo reminds me of the feathers of hyacinth macaw :)

The glass files from Mont Bleu are made of Czech tempered glass. Because of that they are tough and much durable than the cheap imitations. Mont Bleu's files are made by creating the texture in the surface with acid etching so it will last you a very long time. Also the surface of these files is really fine and filing the nails is not uncomfortable experience. You can also easily wash the file with water or even disinfect after using it.



Čo sa mi na tomto pilníku páči najviac je, že si s ním skrátim nechty rýchlo, no zároveň viem veľmi dobre kontrolovať, koľko z nechtu odpilníkujem a na záver perfektne zahladiť okraj.

V minulosti (na seminári SpaRitualu) som sa stretla s tvrdením, že sklenené pilníky škodia nechtom a nechcty sa pri ich používaní ľahšie štiepia. Ja som si však nič podobné na svojich nechtoch zatiaľ nevšimla a vyzerajú rovnako, ako keď použijem papierový pilník. No vždy sa snažím nechty pilníkovať len v jednom smere.


What I love the most about this file is that I can shorten my nails quickly but also easily control how much length I'm taking off and in the end I smooth the edge of my nail perfectly.

In the past (at SpaRitual workshop) I heard that these glass files are actually not good for your nails because they encourage nails to split easier. I haven't noticed anything like that on my nails yet and they look still the same like when I'm using paper nail file. But I try to file my nails in one direction.



A aby bol pilník nielen funkčný, ale aj pekný, jeho rúčka je nádherne dekorovaná zelenými a čírymi kryštálikmi od Swarovski.

And the file is not only functional but also very pretty because the handle is beautifully decorated with green and clear Swarovski crystals.

Ďalšou vecičkou, ktorá mi v balíčku prišla, je zelená pinzeta vyrobená z nehrdzavejúcej ocele. Na každej strane pinzety je päť zladených zelenkavých kryštálikov Swarovski.


Next thing I received in package are these green tweezers that are made from stainless steel. On the each side of the tweezers are five matching green Swarovski crystals.



Už dlho som sa chystala kúpiť si poriadnu pinzetu do mojej manikúrnej výbavy, takže táto mi prišla viac než vhod. Navyše sa s ňou dobre a precízne pracuje či už s ňou umiesňujem dekorácie na nechty alebo ju použijem na úpravu obočia :)


I wanted to buy a good tweezers for a while now to have them in my manicure kit so this one comes really handy now. Moreover it's very precise either I'm placing decorations on my nail or I use it to pluck few hairs from my eyebrow :)



Ďalej tu máme klieštiky na kožičku okolo nechtov. Nie, nemusíte sa báť, neobstrihávam si nimi celé nechtové okolie. Mám všeobecne suché ruky a okolo nechtov sa mi často robia zádery. A práve na tie sú tieto klieštiky ako stvorené.


Next here I have cuticle nippers. No, I'm not using these to cut off all my cuticles around the nails, don't worry. But I have rather dry hands and therefore my nail area si usually dry too and I'm prone to hangnails. And that's why I grabbed these clippers.



Sú vyrobené z nehrdzavejúcej ocele v Solingene v Nemecku. Najviac sa mi na nich páči to, že sa s čepeľami dostanete naozaj všade a záder odšmiknete v mieste vzniku. Čepele na seba dokonale dosadajú, čo umožňuje presný rez. Treba s nimi však pracovať opatrne, sama som sa už stihla dostrihať :D


They are made from stainless steel in Solingen in Germany. I really love how close you can get with these and you can cut the hangnail at the "root". When you close them the blades fits snugly on each other so you can cut the skin very precisely. You just have to be careful since these are really sharp and I even managed to cut myself few times :D



Posledným kúskom, ktorý som dostala je sklenená tyčinka na zatláčanie a odstraňovanie kožičky. Zvyčajne na tento účel používam pomarančové drievko, no s týmto nástrojom to ide rýchlejšie a efektívnejšie.

Tyčinka má dva konce. Jeden zošikmený, ktorý sa používa práve na zatlačenie kožičky. Na druhej strane je špicatý kužeľ, ktorý je skvelý na odstránenie tvrdohlavých kúskov suchej kože, či na vyčistenie spodnej časti nechtov.


The last thing I have here is this dual-end glass cuticle pusher. I normally use my wooden stick to push back my cuticles but with this one it's even faster and much more effective.

The glass stick have two ends. One is slanted and you use it to push back the cuticles from your nail bed. On the other side is pointed end which is great to remove those stubborn pieces of dry and dead skin or cleaning under your nails.



Za seba môžem na záver povedať, že všetky štyri nástroje mi veľmi vyhovujú, sú naozaj užitočné a výborne spracované.

Na jej vytvorenie som použila transferovú fóliu s rovnakým žlto-zeleno-modrým gradientom, ktorú som naaplikovala na čierny základ a doplnila strieborkými bodkami, pretože nemám v zbierke žiadne Swarovski kryštáliky :( No výsledok sa mi aj tak veľmi páčil ;)


To create it I used transfer foil with the same yellow-green-blue gradient that I applied over basic black polish and added some silver studs because I don't have any lovely Swarovski crystals in my stash :( But I still really liked the result ;)
