Bracelet nails

Pôvodne som mala na dnes pre vás pripravený úplne iný nail art, no potom som u Anie z B. Loves Plates uvidela "náramkovú" a jednoducho som ju musela vyskúšať :)

Určite si spomínate na manikúru s efektom rozbitého skla. Hmm, v slovenčine to vôbec neznie tak zaujímavo :D Každopádne, s týmto nápadom prišla svetová špička v nail arte z Južnej Kórei Eun Kyung Park, viac známa pod menom jej nail art štúdia Unistella. A inak tomu nie je ani v prípade "bracelet nails". Táto manikúra sa rozmáha po internete a možno z nej bude rovnaký trend, ako tá predošlá :)


Originally I wanted to post a completely different nail art today, but then I saw on Ania’s (B. Loves Plates) Facebook page this bracelet manicure and I just had to try it :)

I bet you can remember that there was a huge hype (and still is) about the shattered glass manicure. Thin nail art came from hands of one of the world’s best nail artists from South Korea Eun Kyung Park better known as Unistella (the name of her nail studio). And of course, these 'bracelet nails' are also her invention. This mani spreads over the Internet for a while now and it could be another trendy mani as the previous one :)



A o čom vlastne "bracelet nails" sú? Majú pripomínať tenulinké navrstvené náramky a retiazky s rôznymi príveskami. Pri niektorých manikúrach som dokonca videla drobné korálky navlečené na nitke. 


And why they are called bracelet nails? Well they are supposed to resemble delicate, dainty stacked bracelets or chains with various pendants. In some the nail artists even use real beads on a real string.

Ja som tento nail art robila na dvakrát. Prvý raz som prúžky maľovala tenkým štetcom, no nebolo to ono. Druhý raz som bola šikovnejšia a zvolila som inú metódu - prúžky laku som si jednoducho nastrihala.

Na fotke vyššie vidíte všetko, čo som použila. Najskôr som si na moju dobrú kamošku - silikónovú podložku Über Mat natrela hrubšie pásy farebných lakov. Ak nemáte podobnú podložku, môžete použiť napríklad plastové uzatvárateľné vrecko. Leto vrcholí a tak som si vybrala samé veselé a žiarivé farby - takmer neónovo žltý Miss Sporty číslo 145, neónovo ružový Clarie's Strawberry, zelený Rimmel Green Eyed Monster, modrý Flormar Torres Blue a (obligátny) biely Essence Wild White Ways.


This was the second attempt to do this mani. First time I used a striping brush for the stripes but it didn’t look as clean and crisp as I wanted. Next time I was wiser and I simply cut the stripes.

On the photo above you can see everything I used. I started with using my good friend - silicone Über Mat and I painted wide stripes of colourful polishes. If you don’t have similar mat you can use a ziplock bag. The summer is at it’s best now so I used bright and vibrant colours - almost neon Miss Sporty number 145, neon pink Clarie's Strawberry, green Rimmel Green Eyed Monster, blue Flormar Torres Blue and (as usual) white Essence Wild White Ways.



Keď laky na podložke uschli, opatrne som ich odlepila a dobre strihajúcimi nožnicami som ich nastrihala na čo najtenšie prúžky.


When the polish dried on the mat I carefully peeled them off and with a pair of good scissors I cut them into the thinnest stripe I could do.



Nechty som si potom nalakovala jemným púdrovým Peach Dreams Are Made Of This z limitky Juice It! od Essence, ktorú som vám ukázala nedávno. Keď základ trochu preschol, no povrch laku bol stále "lepkavý", začala som umiestňovať jednotlivé pásiky.

Okrem lakov som siahla aj po striebornej páske. V tomto prípade by som radšej použila nejakú tenkú retiazku, či nálepku, no nič podobné akurát teraz doma nemám :/

Na záver stačí na prúžky pridať neajkú tú ozdobu. Fantázii sa medze nekladú a môžete použiť naozaj čokoľvek - kovové pliešky, farebné glitre, či naozajstné korálky.

Ja som si vybrala holografické glitre z laku Prismatic od H&M, najmä kvôli tým srdiečkam ;)


I started with painting my nails with powdery pink Peach Dreams Are Made Of This from LE Juice It! from Essence that I showed you recently. When the base was almost dry yet still tacky I started placing my stripes.

Besides the polishes I added also silver striping tape. I would rather use some really fine chain or a sticker but I don’t have any in my stash right now :/

Finally I added some embellishment over the stripes. You can use whatever you want - metal studs, colourful glitter or even real beads.

I reached for holographic glitter from polish called Prismatic from H&M. Mainly because of those little hearts ;)
